The TVS is what is used in the Corvette, Camaro and Mustang and you are right about the high rpm driven rotor

I think the TVS is as efficiency as the Whipple by also having 2 lobes separating the high and low pressure sides for more boost at lower RPM About the internal compression claim of the whipple screw compressors, for that to happen, the air space between the lobes needs to diminish as the air travel...

I've found a lot of scuff up Whipple rotor pictures online, bought one myself from a marine application. I think the asymmetric design causes interference when the rotors heat up. Because of differences in expansion behavior. Might not be an issue in a dd. Could be in hi power output for long durati...

Part of the reason a old Roots blower design is inneficient is that there is only one lobe seperating the high pressure side from the low one. (Magnuson mp112) http://www.autozine.org/technical_school/engine/Supercharger_Roots_diagram.jpg . This lets a lot of hot pressurised air blow by, between the...

Remove the roll pin retaining the gear, rotate the gear 180* re-install the pin.

The gear has uneven # of teeth so it will give a different range of degreeing

+- 13.8* to be exact (IIR, the gear has 13 teeth)

Napoleon complex of the majority truck buyers?

Why else would they make them so big?
What's the benefit?

So if there's enough people thinking like you, wouldn't that be a business opportunity for custom lowered models?

IMO that's a good approximation of the peak torque. Hp is more complicated to calculate precicely because peak hp will vary widely and is dependant on RPM and torque output at peak hp But let's say you have a healthy engine that produces 1hp per cid. That would be 350hp 350hp X 1.4 = 490hp 490hp-255...

The OEM Vortec produces about 58ft-lb per liter. So that's 58X5.7=330ft-lb A good performance head with higher compression ratio and good cam might give you 70ft-lb per liter. So 70X5.7 = 400ft-lb That's normally aspirated. Add a supercharger and your new torque output will be the torque per liter o...

It has enough power to weight ratio to accelerate from 0-60 under 2.8s providing there's enough grip. (That will be a real challenge) And it could do so without shiftting out of first gear if the gearing was tall enough. Which I doubt, but hopefully the auto is quick enough not to loose too much tim...

Good news is that they make it in 3.73.

There's no problem with the v6 4L80e version. IMO Probably your 4L60e will go before the tc. Same size tc on a 4l60e should handle the same power. The differance should only be in the angle of the vanes to change stall rpm Blown Rat rules Would you recommend the 4.3 V6 / 4L80e torque converter for a...
