At 4K, that's got to be one of a few things:
- maybe you lifted?
- maybe there's a spot in the tuning needing a tweak?
- maybe it's wheelspin!

Okay, I've watched it over and over...
THAT is wheelspin! You can tell by watching the speedometer.

In 2 of the videos there is wheelspin in 1st gear before the 1-2 upshift. When the truck hooks up I see 6.5 0-60 et's, when traction is lost the ET is 7.5-8.5 seconds 0-60.
Oil pressure looks great.
Looks like you have some crazy midrange torque/power with this engine. It trakes quite a bit of torque/power to start spinning the tires at 4000rpm.
5300rpm 1-2 WOT upshift that comes back down to 3700rpm for 1600rpm of shift extension.
This combo seems to really enjoy the long 80e 1st gear, if this were a 60e trans, I think it would just spin the tires.
Great build, I'm sure you will enjoy this engine for years to come. Good work guys.
Is this in a 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton? Impressive acceleration, even more so if its a 3/4 ton.
peace
Hog

Hey Hog,
This is a 97 k1500, but as you can see it has a 6" lift, and 35" BFG Baja's. The Tranny is a 4l60E that we just installed a complete rebuid kit from ProBuilt https://www.700r4l60e.com/store/product.php?productid=328&cat=22&page=1 It seems to be pretty strong for now, but I am just waiting for it to give before I do the 4l80e conversion.
You are right, there seems to be a big surge of power in the 4000k range. It also pulls hard when you are cruising at 70 and nail it.
BTW in those videos the tires were at 32psi

I hear wheelspin until the 1-2 shift, is that with the Eaton locked? (I happened to see the dash plaque and switch in one of the videos)
Turned out nice, I wish mine would move out like that

No Eaton. Only good for off-road. They don't work well at highway speeds.
I just removed the ABS. I couldn't stand it. Getting ready to install hydraboost system.

How's oil consumption, if any?
Are those breathers making a mess yet?

a good idea would be to wrap socks around the breathers, then you can see how much, if any, is venting or blowing by,
