I think that was Garden State, I work with Pyro Spectacular. That's a hell of a bad deal, these guys take even the most minor imperceptible malfunctions personally. I can't imagine what they're going through. Think about the money. I don't know the exact shell counts (it's in the thousands) and sizes, but based on the 4 firing locations and projected 15-minute run time I'd guess that show was around $200k |

It's scary how stupid people will handle guns. When I did my home safety and concealed carry classes, there was an old lady who shot the floor (aiming towards targets at least) because she wasn't strong enough to hold up the big .357 revolver she had purchased. And, some did turn away from the targets with their weapons in their hands still. While I am in no way in favor of gun restrictions, I do belive there should be mandatory safety training paid for by the person wishing to purchase a gun. And, they should take the training (and pass) before they are allowed to purchase. Along with background checks, they might easily intitute a short form questionaire (multiple choice computer programmed) at point of purchase that would help screen nutjobs without criminal records.
And.... I should be able to buy a flamethrower because it makes no sense to have to get so close to set someone else on fire. |
