Hello
Are underway with stress hone one sbc L31 and in doubt what torque to use.
Should I use ARP torque, Or should I use it As stated from the aluminum cylinder head supplier who is Edelbrock .
ARP:
Following the manufacturers recommended torque sequence tighten the nuts in three equal steps to 80 ft lbs
with ARP ULTRA-TORQUE FASTENER ASSEMBLY LUBRICANT.

Edelbrock:
aluminum cylinder head E-Tech 200 Edelbrock.
Head Bolt:
Apply 30W oil or suitable lubricant under side of bolt heads and washers. Torque to 65 ft./lbs. in three steps (40, 55,
65)

Use ARP specs with ultra lube. More precice torque value for one.

#2 The reason is to stretch the bolt in the elastic "spring" zone for proper clamping with ARP fasteners.

#3 Call ARP. they know their product better than any one.
