4L80e problem

Post by burney »

Replace broken tranny cable a month back or so and it works fine so I thought----When I put it in D it shifts normal but today I went to pull down manually and it only drops to 3rd? I can stop and try but it just will not pull down into 1st an 2nd gears?? Anyone know what is causeing this or where to start looking and for what????

There is an adjustable black plastic part on the cable that may not be adjusted correctly.
I would put it in park by the shifter
Put the trans in park
Then adjust the cable to slide in and keep both the shiflter and trans from
Moving and then you should be good
