Longest URL in history LOL

Those are nice trucks, you should be able to get it a little cheaper with the current incentives?

another 965 dollars on the purchase price. Ditch the sunroof and the locking rear. GM's sliding glass products tend not to be that nice, be better to get an aftermarket sunroof if you want one. And we all know what crap the locking rear is, especially since we all know that the first thing you are gonna do is pull the fuel injection and install a TBI™. The first time you take off it'll be WAA-BAM! when the rear lets go. Be better to get an aftermarket locker.

Next, I'll save you some money down the road. Get something besides red. Watch on the highway, look at the cars far away. A red car will be visible long before almost any other color. Any police watching radar will pick up a speeder before they actually see them, and if the first thing they see is a red vehicle, that's who they will assume is doing the speeding. When they start watching you approach, they will not be watching other traffic. Check with the cops that post here, see if I"m wrong about this. Not to mention that insurance companies will charge more for a red vehicle than for a different color. Besides, bright red is butt-ugly.

I tried to change the color but it wouldnt let me - wanted black.
No locking diff is fine. Putting a turbo and 6 speed in it might make it nice to have though.
TBI™ on a I5 haha

Hey Pro, one suggestion....edit that post so that the URL is between little URL "BBCode tags" if the first tag says url=http://blah it won't display the whole thing....otherwise reading comments is a b*tch involving a horizontal scrollbar.

Don't get me wrong with all these "Get a Silverado" replies....if you want a Colorado, by all means get a Colorado. But if you want a Silverado, I just tried punching in the numbers for the base 4.8/5-speed Silverado vs .a "comparable" Colorado...

Tables of course look like crap in any forum:

Code:

2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
2dr Regular Cab Rwd SB (4.3L 6cyl 5M)    MSRP    Invoice    TMV
National Base Price
A note about advertising fees    $20,915    $18,928       $19,250
Regional Adjustment
for Zip Code Change    -    -       $3
Optional Equipment    $1,597    $1,374       $1,411
   LR4 Vortec 4800 SFI 4.8L V8 Engine    $945    $813       $835
   G80 Locking Rear Differential    $295    $254       $261
   AU3 Power Door Locks    $162    $139       $143
B30 Carpeted Floor Covering and Vinyl Floormats    $100    $86       $88
   Z85 Handling/Trailering Suspension Package    $95    $82       $84
Color Adjustment    -    -       -$17
  Black
Destination Charge    $850    $850       $850
Total with Options    $23,362    $21,152       $21,497
Incentives & Rebates    -$3,500
Customer Cash Adjusted True Market Value    $17,997

Code:

2005 Chevrolet Colorado
2dr Regular Cab ZQ8 LS Rwd SB (2.8L 4cyl 5M)    MSRP    Invoice    TMV®
National Base Price
A note about advertising fees    $18,790    $17,005       $17,292
Regional Adjustment
for Zip Code Change    -    -       $3
Optional Equipment    $1,270    $1,092       $1,121
   L52 Vortec 3.5L Inline 5-Cylinder Engine    $1,000    $860       $883
   G80 Locking Rear Differential    $270    $232       $238
   GT4 3.73 Rear Axle Ratio    $0    $0       $0
Color Adjustment    -    -       -$16
  Black
Destination Charge    $635    $635       $635
Total with Options    $20,695    $18,732       $19,035
Incentives & Rebates    -$2,000
Customer Cash Adjusted True Market Value    $17,035

The $1500 more in incentives makes the Silverado only $900 more. You may find more negotiating room on the Silverado as well, effectively making them the same price.

I tend to hear better things about the newer G80s... though there are certainly plenty of people here with more knowledge on that subject than I.

Keep waiting for a while, there's too much bad news with GM right now. Pricing could get seriously lower if they're forced to raise cash. They might decided to move stock quick.

Dude shaddap. A black Colorado Zq8 looks more sporty than an LS Silverado.

As for the silverado, all it would take though are some bigger wheels, a debadge, lowering, and monochromed. Colorado already comes with all that.

You didn't say that when you saw the video of Parish's truck.

And I guarantee, if I add boost (more like when now) to the truck, you WONT say that again.

I'm seriously thinking 22psi twin 63mm turbos. Will be insane. Powerband will start at 3k, and go straight up.
