Post Positive Camber of Front Wheels - Did anybody get rid of it?
When ever I'm looking at rear wheel drive GM's, I recognize a strong positive camber of the front wheels (particularly storng after parking/turning the wheel left&right). However I believe this is not a feature of most other similar vehicles.

I'm sure GM had a reason to set it this way, but what it that reason?
Also has anybody took this strong camber out of his front wheels yet & if, what are the downsides?

The reason why I'm asking, because I can's see how such strong positive camber would promote even tire wear.

Could it be to keep the contact patch at the same track width as the suspension cycles up and down on a washboard condition to prevent any side movement?
