Time spent getting "ready for tornados" is time spent not enjoying life.
Unless it's about building a shelter while drinking beer with buddies.
If tornadoes are a problem, move. Then enjoy life while drinking beer with buddies.

Most the time they hit out in the fields. I have no shelter to go to. Ever since I moved to where I live, there has been warning, even touch downs with No damage. We watched a funnel cloud go over the shop where I had worked. With the exception of Pine Lake, and the one that hit Edmonton, I don't worry about them. Did you hear about the tornado by Taber? There was a truck driver hauling Dangerous Goods. His company was trying to figure out a route to avoid the Tornado. Lightning Strikes the truck. Nothing happened. I worry more about Lightning, especially since I came close to getting struck three times.
