Post rear pinion seal replacement
does the pinion seal supposed to stop flush with the housing or do i continue to push it in until it stops?

I just tap in flush. Tyhe sealing surfaces are on the outside face of the ring which contacts the inner diameter of teh rear end, and the other seal occurs at the inner seal that contacts the spinning yoke.
Tapping beyond flush would not improve sealing at all.

i notice that there is a second design for the pinion seal but looking at the spec on Rock auto it is lil larger.
