 wanting to do a 383
I new to this site and I need some help. Right now I have a 97 c1500 350 5.7 with all bolt ons. I am wanting to do a 355 or 383. I am going to reuse the top end off the 350. Which is the spider injection fuel system. I am going to redo the heads with a 3 angle valve job and bigger exhaust valves and the work to puts bigger cam in. I want the truck to pull hard from mid to top. Not really sure what the fuel system can handle but I want to almost max it out. My truck is a extended cab 2wd full bolt ons with 373 gears. What do yall think my best setup would be. Thanx in advance.

Welcome to the site!
Unfortunately the fuel system is basically maxxed out with the 19lb/hr poppets in the stock manifold.
I am a fan of the zz4 cam for mid range torque to 5k.
money wise you may be cheaper and more power and upgradable power in the long run to swap to an 6.0L LS motor

If I had a time machine, instead of throwing all that money into a 383, I would have went with a LS motor. They make incredible power and have almost endless performance options.

Thing I like about my 383 over my buddys 6.0 is it has some low end grunt to it perfect for towing

Sounds like you did good.
But... You could have had a 408 and even more pulling torque!

I have a feeling the L31 power poops out around 600hp where the LS entertainment begins @ 500hp and parties on till 1000-1200hp..
