 Starting after a roll over
A friend rolled his 1992 GMC pickup this summer was not hurt just this pride. and we are just getting around to working on it . It hasn't run since the accident , is there a roll over switch that will turn off the gas so the pump will not keep pumping when it is upside down or can we just charge the battery and get it running?thanks Dale

It should start right up so far as the fuel pump "kill" setup is concerned. I am pretty sure that in the trucks so long as the engine is making oil pressure the fuel pump will run. If the truck is upside down, the oil pickup will be dry thus making no il pressure, this will kill the fuel pump therefore eliminating any fire that might be fed by a running fuel pump with a leaking fuel line.
I think this is the way it works, confirmation anyone?

Thank you Sir!
Are you getting itchy to get your ass perched upon that beast of a bike that's bound for Australia? Man that's gonna be fun.

YOU will never be able to stop at polished wheels and exhaust.
Great looking bike, glad things are going well for you, be careful, I ride (1984 Yamaha RZ350, punched stroked etc etc, (Wild 2 Stroke)) and here in the states there was a stat that basically stated that if you live through the first 3 months of riding your in the 45% of all riders, the next hurdle was 6 months, and so on. If you went 3 years without an accident you were in the elite 2% of all bikers. I guess I have cheated for a long time and have never had an accident, I have been close, but I am the one paying attention and have a way out in those times. Just be careful & enjoy it, a truly beautiful bike!

Mines a little different Its a very wicked little bike, I had a friend who worked at a Yamaha shop in Texas, They specialized in building performance RZ's, the shop got flooded, and he called and offered me a skid of Factory Yamaha Racing parts, that after the insurance paid on, the shop was going to pitch. The owner agreed to send them to me, all I paid was shipping for an entire skid of premium race parts.
I wound up with a complete factory race prepped engine, fork asm, rear shock, full fairing, solo seat, and some other parts like clutch, chain, sprockets, levers, rearsets and so on. Anyway the bike dynoed at 120 Hp on a very hot 100 degree 97% humid day, while being tuned mainly for 75 - 85 degree temps, so I would say its easily 128-130 hp at the wheel with the right weather conditions.
As for the RZ 500, I went to Edmonton Canada, 12+ years ago twice to buy one, but the guy backed out on me at the last minute. That is a real super bike, I have ridden ZX-10's Hyabusa's & GSXR's and nothing has that white knuckle feel of the 500, just plain animal. Where the RZ350 quits, the 500 just keeps pulling like a freight train, Not many people here in the states even know much about these bikes and even less have ever ridden either one, & especially the 500, Canada seems to have a much larger following and more bikes were imported their. None of the 500's were ever sold in the US, Man I wish I had the 500 stable mate to my 350, the 500's go for upwards of $30K for anything in decent stock, unmolested condition, there are a couple of kit builder bikes floating around that are a hodgepodge of parts that show up for sale from time to time, they will bring $10K+ in the right market.

!!!!! 130hp on such a light bike!!!!! Counter rotating crankshaft?
Had a buddy who had an RG500. Only time it had it's 2 wheels on the ground was when in neutral....
Stupid enough to drink and ride such beast, well... No longer
I used to love watching GP500 races.
For me, it's a love/hate relationship with the 2 stroke.
Now, I much prefer the torque down low.

Yes, TI balance shaft Is part of the Race block and a really trick Power valve for adjustable porting, way different than the production run.
True, That love - hate relationship is true with all 2 strokes, especially if you own one.
No such thing as torque, they substituted a gear box and fully expect the rider to wear it out shifting.
Only bike I have ever ridden that will wheelie and spin the back tire at the same time when you hit the power band. You better be paying attention when the exhaust gets that tinny popping sound, it means you have about .2 seconds to hold on really tight, almost regardless of the gear choice.
Very Sorry to hear about your friend, we all make mistakes in life, some get away with it, some pay dearly for the slightest error in judgement.

Sorry for stealing your thread Grundy...it kinda works that way here at times....and nobody too much worries. I guess it's all good as long as you get the info your after.
I used to ride a 4 stroke 250 road trail (KLR 250). Great bike...always started easily and just ran all day. It got stolen....so I decided to buy a oad bike (all my mates had road bikes).
I was still on a limited licence so couldn't go over 250cc.
I bought a KR250 (2 stroke). Riding home after buying it...gave the throttle a squeeze and I'm sure I turned white. Thought to myself "I need to sell this...I'll kill myself on it".
Anyway....got used to the acceleration....and just ended up with a huge smille instead. Lol!
ALOT of RZ 250's, 350's and 500's here.
Plenty of guys used to just re-sticker the 350's with 250 decals (those on limited licences...limited to 250cc for the first 3 years here....which is pretty stupid because the 250's (KR1, RGV, RZ)were quite capable of 250kph).
