Nice, That gear is the one to use, I have had the Comp Cam gear in for over a year, just made a bushing to get from the std Vortec dis. to the .491 shaft size, no wear at all.

$105.00 for a dist. gear??? Wow, thats a little steep, it must be made of Unobtainium.
The last GM gear I got was $20CAN IIRC.
Does the distributer come with Accel's version of the crab cap??
Does it have brass or aluminum contacts??
I remember someone making some alterations to the stock distributor for dist. gear oiling. Is this still necessary for the Accel unit?
thanks
peace

When I did a search on Accel's site for my Madel/make/year they didn't offer the 60116 they had the 59109. I have a 99 Yukon Denali. Is the 60116 the right one for my truck cause the pics of the caps look different. (My First Post )

Hello, and welcome to the forum.
60116 is the correct part number. The powertrain in your truck is the same as a 4x4 Yukon or Tahoe. This is the distributor for a Vortec 350.

 Installed today!
This distributor is a very precise fit in the block. I know this sounds rediculous, but I SWEAR it's true - I have higher oil pressure at idle now by about 5psi. I think it has to do with the notch I had in the plastic one for gear oiling combined with the tollerance of the plastic to iron bore.
When installed the rotor barely freeplays 1 degree back and forth! Also, the shaft in this does not move axially like the stock ones.
It was plug and play - very easy. To avoid P1345 I rotated the engine before pulling out the old one until the rotor was pointing dead at a screw-hole in the housing. I reinstalled the new one to the same orientation and it was perfect. Initially it's kind of hard to point the rotor because it drifts so far forward and backward in freeplay, so I just choose the middle.
I said it before but now even moreso - I am impressed with this part.

 must be a sign
must have been! cuz i know more than start thinking about getting one, mine decides to break on me!
i think i gorilla torqued the screws and they both must have cracked - the cap just popped off......think about a dandy lion when you were a kid.
looks like i'll be getting my first billet part ever - not too fond of sparkley things, i like black!
guess i could paint it

Thanks for the info James. The tabs on mine gave way too. Crappy plastic design.
