I thinks its cool I like the sounds of Hybrid technology, literally. You still have the sound/feel of a V8 gasoline engine, with the aided electrical boost.

I do too but I would have preferred a pancake motor directly coupled to the snout or between the engine and the tranny. Not a huge mass on top like they did.

The other thing is I found it odd that he only mentionned the torque...

That's cause 50kw is only 67hp.

Which means at best case senario, 150ft-lb is only available up to 2,346 rpm and declines to 67ft-lb at 5252 rpm.

It would work well in a standard but not much in an auto.
