Tractor beams are cool.

Scientists have developed a "cloaking device" to make objects appear invisible. In essence, the device "bends" light around the object beiong cloaked, so that the background behind the object is presented in front of the object. So far they can make objects the size of quarters appear invisible.

Not sure if this is exactly what I am describing, but this link contains a video.

Man, if I could swing this I swear I'd shave my head, dress in a grey Mao outfit all the time and carry a white cat with me at all times.

I'd also say things like "No, Mr. Makoi, I don't expect you to talk, I expect you... to.... die!!!" and "What do you mean I don't have any sharks with laser beams on their heads? What good is it being a super villain if you can't get sharks with frickin' laser beams on their heads? Very well then, I want a horse with an affinity for eating trucks then." Laughing

17 million is too much. Offer them 6.5 million. Unless they throw in a submarine, and a couple former Miss Norway's.

3. IMMIGRATING TO NORWAY
What are the rules regarding immigration to Norway?

4. BUSINESS RELATED QUESTIONS

Where can I find information about doing business in Norway?

1. STUDYING IN NORWAY

How can I study in Norway?

There are four Universities in Norway, in Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, and Tromsø. Each university has its own office for foreign students and a useful website that should answer most of the questions you may have. For information about studying at the University of Oslo, go to:
http://www.uio.no/english/studying.html

For information about studying at the University of Bergen, go to:
http://www.uib.no/fa/stud/kfus/index.html

For information about studying at the University of Tromsø, go to:
http://www.adm.uit.no/studie/foreign/Entrance.htm

For information about studying at the University of Trondheim, go to:

There are also many colleges and institutes of higher learning throughout Norway. For a map with links to many of these colleges, go to:

2. WORKING IN NORWAY

How can I find work?

There is an excellent database for jobs in Norway where you can make a search by profession and the area of the country you want to work in. Unfortunately, this listing is in Norwegian only, as are most listings for Norwegian jobs. If you want to visit this site, go to:
http://www.aetat.no/arbeidssoker/index.html?content=../arbeidssoker/arbsoker_ finn_din_jobb.shtml
If you want to get some information in English, you can try:
http://www.aetat.no/english/index.html

How do I get a work permit?

As a general rule, if you are a citizen of a EU, or an EFTA country it is fairly easy – you just need to have a job offer and means of support. Work permits can also be given to foreigners who are qualified for a residence permit, such as students (part-time work permit only) and those married to a Norwegian. If you don't fit into any of the above categories, you may be able to get a work permit if you have a special skill that is needed in Norway.
For more detailed information go to the Norwegian government's site at: http://www.norway.org/visas/
You can also write or call the Directorate of Immigration at:
Utlendingsdirektoratet

3. IMMIGRATING TO NORWAY

What are the rules regarding immigration to Norway?

In order to get a Settlement Permit, which entitles you to live in Norway for life (with certain restrictions) you must have lived in Norway for three years with a qualified type of Residence Permit (this would not include studying). The most common ways of getting this qualified residence permit in Norway are through
marriage (or having a life partnership relationship), working with a work permit, and having Norwegian parents.

Hi, My name is Alton:)

What's up pretty! (:
It's Alton.
If you looking forward about spending wonderful time in a company of funny, cute cutie then I'm right before you!
I felt in love with ur pics and so decided to create this message! I'm sure that you wouldn't stay disappointed after staring at mine too.
So, I wait for ur answer this message and maybe we will go somewhere, drink some tequila, talk and who knows I'll invite u to visit my appartment! Wink

Evidently my email name of metalbuildin@acertaininternetprovider.com didn't tag me as male. Or perhaps that's what this person is aiming for. Either way, I have no pictures anywhere. Bleah... the spammers are getting disgusting.

Chrysler is releasing a new line of diesel engines that includes a diesel option for a halfton pickup. It's supposed to come out in 2014. Here's hoping that this drives GM to FINALLY release the 4.5L Duramax into their halfton trucks. If they do, when the 4.8 I have now wears out I'll look at either converting the 2000 to diesel or replace with a new truck. I just hope they don't look like that crapcept beasturd child of a Chevy and a Toyota I put up a few weeks ago. If that's what the new trucks look like it'll be more likely that a conversion will happen. Unfortunately, since a 4.5L turbodiesel Duramax would be the perfect engine for a halfton regular cab, GM will probably only release them in crewcabs.

Changed my front axles today. Easy to do, except that the new units I picked up from O Reilly's didn't have the proper type of bolt. Had to get a washer separately to install them right. Other than that, the hardest part of the job was cleaning grease. I'm going to have to visit the car wash with my ramps and some degreaser to finish the job. At least now I can get around to tuning it properly. I finally get to install the wideband.

I hate that. Especially when you're working on your only mode of transportation.

It has seriously turned me into a hoarder of fasteners.

More on BMW's electric turbocharger, like how it's going to work. Looks like it's an electric motor sandwiched between the two halves of the turbo, with a clutch on the exhaust side. The electric spools up instantly when power is called for, and the exhaust side gets to spool up with half the weight and none of the air resistance since it's not connected to the air side. When the exhaust side catches up, the clutch locks the two sides together. Neat concept they came up with. I going to have to add BMW back to my list of possibles if they've gotten rid of the dunderheads they employed in the 90s to come up with this system.
