 Surgery
I am home now recovering. Ended up with a hole the size of a golf ball through two layers of muscle tissue, and was some how attached to my big scar tissue. Dr. Hamilton just said it was weird

I only have one picture.
I had a hard time getting my pain under control. Today was a lot better. We have an elliptical to walk or bike on, I did some of that this morning, plus walked outside.

My other scar was from having a perforated intestine, thanks to crohns, A second bowel resection, and three incisional hernia's. For some reason this hernia was connected to the beginning of the original incision. He put more mesh in to hold things together. I have been taking 30mg of morphine every 4 hours. I had some fentanyl patches left over. I also used one of those. Tomorrow I am going to start cutting back to see how it goes.

I removed the gauze packing Lez put on after my shower. Need to leave it open now. Everything looks good. Tuesday staples get removed. Hoping by then I will be reducing more on the drugs. My sister in law visited yesterday. She asked how things went. I remember talking to the nurses. The IV was put in. He sais he was giving me a shot that would make me sleepy. The next thing I remember is waking in recovery. Now I have to do nothing. I walked to mail box. Tat felt good.

Battle scar brotherhood!
Looks like they cut further than originally planed.
Hope you don't have an asshole B in law like I had. After my appendectomy the guy pretended to punch me in the stomach right after surgery. My knee jerk reaction gave me quite the intense pain. I wanted to kill the fuc.er.
Once the wound has closed completely, look into massaging the area to prevent underling tissues to attach to the top layers.

That sounds like a good Idea. No problems from anyone. I have to watch the cat though. He likes to jump on me in the night to wake me up. So far so good with that issue. I have had to use up a lot more of my meds then I had planned. My Doc appointment isn't until Friday or a Thursday not sure.

If you have a young daughter, you can tell her this is what you get from a belly button piercing...

I never thought of that. Good one. Looking very good today. I slept through the day. Changed the dose I was taking with the patch. Had withdrawls last night. Thanks everyone for your support.

Sorry I haven't been on here much. I have started to reduce my dosage of Narcotics I am on. I get very sick, so I tend to sleep a lot. I had to go to emerge last night. one area opened up. I wanted it looked at. I had a lot of puss come out of it to. I got antibiotics. the nurse clean up the site and put new dressing on it. If it gets worse I see the surgeon this week.

Not yet. Getting antsy about the truck though. We need it badly. May have to get Lez to help put tank and other things on truck, so we can use it. I have noticed, because I really haven't done much since November of 2010. Started riding elliptical, to help with cardio. It's a slow process. I really didn't do much today, but I was very stiff for a while. I started a fire in the firepit to burn papers we don't want in garbage. I then stoked pit with would, then used hot coals to cook burgers.
The rock crusher cone really holds the heat.

It is huge. When it is hot it throws off a lot of heat. I never used it last year. I have some logs I need to split too. The grill works much better when the hot coals are closer to the grate. I made that for my 50th birthday part two years ago. The fire pit we got with the place.
