Sorry, this is not so performance-related, but does anyone have a Tech2 or know a friendly dealer technician in the greater Philadelphia metro?

I traded some parts from my wrecked Suburban for a factory Delphi navigation radio, 2011 nav disc, and the GPS antenna out of a 2006 Tahoe for my new-to-me 2004 Yukon XL. I simply need the VIN cleared out of the navigation radio, which is a 2-minute process with a Tech2! The local dealerships generally don't want to do this for me using the BS excuse of the 2004 didn't have a navigation option - no kidding, but it's not relevant to anything other than the theftlock of the headunit. All one has to do is select a 2005 in the Tech2 and it'll clear it out. I ultimately found one dealer who will do it, but they are 75 minute drive one-way and want $200 for the privilege!!! That's like $260 after gas and tolls! I can't believe how resistant dealers have become to folks like us. I mean people pull factory headunits out of the junkyard all the time for pennies on the dollar. Sheesh!

Specmo, an authorized factory radio service outfit can do it for me for $100, but with shipping it's $140.

Anyone still do favors for beer money or return favor???

United Radio in East Syracuse, NY can do the VIN clear for $25 plus return shipping (method of your choice).

Ship it to them Via postal Servive. USPS. I had my 411 sent to me from EBay. No problems coming to Canada. Their rates are very reasonable. I even use USPS airmail, which is cheaper then UPS plus it is delivered closer to my rural address.
