So i deleted a few things..
Like the manual fan, its in the 30s.. I have hard enough time maintaining heat lol.. No intake heater - anymore..
figure I picked up some free HP from this, I know without the intake heater it snappy on the throttle now got something like 26.7mpg today. unreal..
I'm not towing so Im not too worried and I dont sit and idle either. Maybe one of you guys might try it

This is the magic of the electric fan. You get the same effect, without the worries of getting stuck in traffic and overheating.

I have a set of fans for a 2006 Silverado sitting in my garage. Bought it from Rock Auto. It is not for sale. I can try to remember to take measurements of it tonight. I'm thinking I may be able to install it this weekend.
Does anyone perchance know what specific port(s)s on the computer the fans need to be connected to so that I can run them off the PCM? I'd prefer to run them parallel so each one can be controlled individually but wouldn't have a problem with running serial if need be. Decided against trying to use a DCC unit, since their website appears to be dead now.

that'd be cool. I wonder if they are the same dimensions.. with the exception the radiator being thicker (extra core).

I'll measure mine friday when I have time.
There is no way I didn't pick up 30hp.. Didn't make much of a difference on my 4.8L but on this rig.. its very very obvious. I can peel out accelerating down the freeway @ 65+.. stock tune. weird.
I also tested things... stopped traffic = never went over 190.
temp 31 - 42 degrees.
5% incline 1000 deg EGTs.. 10+ min.. never passed 188.... 40mph.
Actually seems to have made the thermos pretend to work right too.. When I installed the new ones from Oreilly, theyd go from just above the 2nd line to just before middle bar (210) gauge would show 184 >> 188. 4 degrees and the gauge looks like there is more going on. Now without the fan, the bouncing seems to have mellowed out. very odd.

Sik, sounds like your old clutch fan may have been siezing up then. It's supposed to freewheel until the system gets hot enough to heat the spring on the front of the clutch, which will then lock the fan on. If the fan was staying locked on, then the engine would be kept cooler than it was supposed to be while robbing engine power for no good reason. I'd planned on putting mine on today, but Mother Nature decided otherwise. We got an inch or two of snow last night and it's still in the 20s as of this posting. I don't work outside in these conditions unless something is broken hard.

Was going to put on the stainless braided brake lines today too.. oh well.
Fan wasn't roaring or anything. I think it was ok, it does spin freely by hand.

So I'm back in Arizona. Drove with a 5th wheel from Portland to Phoenix. NO FAN. Never once got too hot. Although unhitched I'm getting 26mpg .. How I have no idea. . Must be the "dry"
Summers coming, so I gotta get to measuring soon on those electric fans!
