The first uWink restaurant opened in California on 30 NOV, 2006. The founder Nolan Bushnell and his group are using it to attract media attention. Their efforts seem to be working locally (in CA) as the video above shows. uWink is getting some national TV coverage very soon. On Wednesday January 10th, the Bravo Channel show Top Chef is scheduled to air an episode filmed at the one uWink location. This episode was apparently filmed at uWink over the summer, before uWink was open to the public.

This show might give this franchise restaurant chain positive national visibility. If this happens, the franchises will begin to be sold and more locations will open around the country and the stock activity (and price?) will rise. The company goal is for up to 50 more restaurants (mostly franchises) to open by Xmas 2007. On the uWink web site, they mention the franchise agreement details is/was due to be published by the end of calendar 2006. Apparently they are behind schedule. Might be they are intentionally delaying the release until they get more media attention and increase the hype. All I know is once the agreement details are made available, uWink will begin selling franchises and generating income.

Restaurant franchise model = a lot of short term profits via franchise fees while passing on the risk to the franchise holders. Chuck E. Cheese was built to 200+ restaurants within 5 years while Bushnell was CEO.

I bought uWink stock at $2.30 last week. I am hoping it goes to $23.00 in 12 months. The stock markets will be closed Tuesday in honor of Pres Ford. They open again on Wednesday.

I am hoping Bushnell follows his past modus operandi, the one demonstrated with his Chuck E. Cheese franchise chain. I am hoping he follows suit with uWink and is in it for the short term; to increase the stock value greatly and get out. I hope to ride his coat tails and do the same.

I am still lookinig for RADS to rise above its 12 month high of ~$15. Do you think it has a chance?

ouch, screw microsoft then
I think radiant might reach 13. If it does I would (cramer) sell sell sell. I dont know all the financials but I am pretty sure we are no where near fantastic sales this quarter.
I wonder if uWink uses radiant hardware...

From $9.50 at the end of November to $10.98 at the begining of January is ~15% in about 6 weeks. This is excellent.

I believe the stock has legs and is trending up. The market appears to be strong going into the new year, which helps everything. While RADS may not crest the 12 month high of $15 anytime soon, the chart suggests it can/will get close to the 6 month high of $13. I am looking for it to move from $11 to $12 quickly in January. At that point I will place a sell stop at approximately $11.50 to lock in a ~20% return, then sit back and watch. I will move the sell stop up under the current price as the trend continues up, keeping it approximately 15% below the current price. If the trend stalls as it approached the 6 month high of $13, I will likely get stopped out on a correction. If the stock sails past $13 on its way to the 12 month high of $15 or higher, the return will be closer to 50%. If that happens, I will send you a can of injector cleaner to keep your TBIâ„¢ happy.

20~25% return, 2~3 times a year is all I am hoping for. Anything more is gravy.

Motorolla still looks like a good horse to saddle and ride for a while. If it doesn't move away from the starting gate too soon, I may jump to a MOT horse when the RADS horse I am currently riding tires.

Happy New Year!

It appears the MOT horse wont be leaving the starting gate anytime too soon.

Interesting, it appears to me like RADS came under some selling pressure early today, this likely tripped several stop limits set by others and a domino effect occured before the dust started to settle at 10:00. The fact that it is rebounding back to the opening price before the end of the day today usually means their are more buyers than sellers. This indicates the stock still has good support.

ADLS and RADS up nicely. UWNK will take longer to develop.

I see RADS going over $11 today. On its way to $13?

We'll see.
