My aunt used to have property west of Boone. Beautiful area. Go during the fall. I bought outside of Asheville an hour out in the boonies. I visited another property of hers in Maggie Valley a few months ago. Drove there 10hrs one weekend. Beautiful place amd the drove through the mountains was a lot of fun. Left everybody home and enjoyed the drive.
