I'd be very interested in a crew cab zr2 option. Either with the diesel or the 4.3 out of the full size pickup.
They already have hardware from the hummer line for a locking front diff. They could follow the old formula fairly closely, bring it up to date, and have a huge success on their hands.
Bah humbug for a stick with only the 4 cylinder. The Tacoma offers a stick with V6 and 4wd, although mileage sucks for a mid size and a V6. I want 4wd. More complex, sure, but it's there when I need it.
I've driven quite a few manumatic rentals and I have to admit that GM has come a long way with them, but a manumatic will never replace a stick to me. (Especially when the manumatic reads two button presses for a down shift, then either beeps or flashes--"Shift denied.")
