Meh, good riddance to old gear boxes. DSG is where its at! I don't miss a manual transmission. I never wanted one off roading. I've never wanted one while driving in a "spirited" fashion. I've never missed the one I had. When autos are done right, there are controls that over ride automatic selectio...

My dad had a '92 rcsb 4.3 2wd 5sp,

I had a '98 ECSB 2.2 5sp, and a 2000 Blazer zr2 4l60e. I really liked that blazer. I dumped a lot of money in to fixing it, which it shouldn't have needed being only 7yrs old and around 70K miles. But it could go places. Really tough places.

I find myself interested in the new midsize/compact pickup

Which hopefully will come with a diesel and or TBIâ„¢ power. Crew cab, real 4wd and (fingers crossed big time) a new version of the beloved ZR2 option. Man oh man if there was one thing I would like to see, its a small pickup that can make a name for itself offroad. I've been eyeing a few traded in ...

Didn't that show get cancelled because all the "stars" went to jail?
I don't think so. Nobody I know of excepting tickle went to jail for anything, and his was public drunkenness.

From what I've seen, even a very small solar system is far too large to fit in a typical RV. In fact many solar systems would take light years to cross, and that means they just aren't portable even for TBIâ„¢.

Running down the outer banks at sealevel, on flat road on 12 south between some of the small towns like avon and salvo the car was doing 55-57mpg at 60mph. I like it more every day. Drove home and all the bugs that smashed on it just rinsed right off and washed off without leaving a trace. Interesti...

DI is kinda hard to beat. DI with FI is even tougher. The latest MB V6 puts out 300hp, and its a 60 degree DI design, tiny little thing compared to the last gen. The base model V8 is now 420HP with twin turbos and DI, and I remember when the most powerful engine you could get was 349hp. They seem so...

The early versions of a Mercedes M120 V-12 were literally treated as two separate inline 6 engines joined at the hip. The right cylinder head was interchangeable with an inline 6. It had two separate engine control units, if one went dead it would run the other 6 cylinders independently. You had ME-...

Turtle Wax ICE. It can be used on black trim, rubber, whatever it gets on it won't leave that white residue. Pretty cool stuff. Goes on easy, comes off easy.

Mud is a difficult thing to traverse. Its also a tricky beast.... one minute you are rolling along, then suddenly you might as well have taken the wheels off. You ain't going nowhere. I miss my ZR2. It would go damn near anywhere, but mud was definately its weakness. The all terrains would wad up an...
