Thanks for the replies. ...I have a forklift so the lifting part is easy. If the pcm is different then I need 1 from a 98 with a 350 in it or can I keep the complete harness from the 97?

275 55r20 are a factory size onthe ltz. ...bfg allterrain come in an 8 ply and are good for 2600lbs each tire. The same in a 275 60r20 are good for 3000lbs each. I don't think anybody makes a 10ply... ...

Your heads not having egr ports isn't a big deal. The truck has to pass a visual inspection so an egr valve has to be bolted to the intake but it doesn't have to function as long as the truck can pass ...

Stock 906 vortecs off a 100000 mile pickup....no work done even stock springs.....i had 4.56s in it and it pulled 6800 thru the traps but ran the exact same times so i went back to 3.73s so i wouldn't ...

Coolio....i do my own internal diff work and have set up alot....never had 1of these bad boys out tho....was hoping it was a direct bolt in but i guess not lol.

I am the owner of both vin numbers. ..1 cab is rusty the other is mint with a bent frame....i shud just be able to switch the plates over at the dmv without issue...hopefully lol.....Lorne

How hard is it to change the cab from a 97 to a 98? Both are excabs and should bolt rite up my concerns are with security modules and any other computer issues that i might have.....thks for any input ...

Some of the chevy v6s had issues with the harmonic balancer rubber slipping and causing the pickup for the crank sensor to move
