2012 Silverado 2500 Duramax LML

Hey guys its been a while since I have been on here. I just finally sold my gas Silverado and got a diesel. I was curious if anyone had any experience with tunes/ tuning companies for the 2012 6.6L duramax for better fuel mileage on a completely stock truck. Efilive unfortunately doesn't cover this ...

I haven't been on here in a while nut logged on to see whats been going on and say hello. I was curious how the fI is working for you. after tuning. I put an LSA blower on a 05 1500 5.3L silverado with a 8 rib belt setup with an 80e trans and made 15# of boost with the 90mm Tbody/ 12-13# with stock ...

I think you are going to need to use the 2 plug prndl switch found on 97-2000 trucks and vans and pin that correctly.

It's the current 8.2L motor mercruiser sells
They build the motor in house
https://www.marineengine.com/parts/merc ... ront-cover

The cam sensor is in the timing cover also

Looks similar to s10 wildsides setup

Good job man!
That aluminum ebay distributor worked well for me on a few motors (new)
Cheap and better quality than a stock plastic one.,

I don't have my laptop with me but with Efilive from memory, there are a few specific tables for cranking timing in park/neural
As soon as I get it back I can try to look. But if you are using efilive it's easy to find in your tune

You may have some cranking spark tables in the that are off or another variable multiplying the cranking spark and messing t up. Add another ground wire to the engine for cranking/ voltage drop purposes and put another IC module on the IGN module with heat transfer compound for another trouble shoot...

I once had a VERY similar issue with my bored out 454/460 after coming back from the machine shop. I think they put the crank position sensor in the acid bath with the other parts. I replaced the crank position sensor and all went well..... if not that..... For diagnostic purposes I would replace yo...

I don't think you using a 305 tune will work well unless you contacted one of the old tuner guys like at fastchip and see if he can actually program the actual "chip" for you.

I tried wiring up the new throttle body but on key in, it opens then closes and sets a power reduction mode and code for tps 1/2 not reading the correct readings. I tried snapping the motor control wires and tps signal 1&2 and it doesn't work. I ordered an x-link yesterday. I'll rewire up the old 8 ...

I liked the spring as well Ben, this one will not bee flashy. Just stock looking. Those clear valve covers are pretty neat! That could be a great diagnostic tool I'd bet. As far as the heads, I read "some" on these but didn't see the extra power gained to money value with buying the heads, bolts/gas...
