Why would you want to spend $636.00 on a harness that will not interface with your truck? Why not get some new (or used) injector pigtails and 2 80 pin LS1b PCM connectors and rework your trucks harness to run the Gen3 engine?

I think the balancer was too close to the timing cover to put the reluctor on the backside---I really don't remember. I don't think the balance would be a factor. Remember the reluctor spins on center with the crank not a reciprocating motion.

I machined the inner toothed ring of the of the reluctor to index on the hub portion of the balancer. Then I machined the serpentine pulley to index on the hub portion of the balancer. Then I machined the outer toothed ring of the reluctor so that the pulley could recess into the reluctor. Then I ti...

DrX throttle body conversion. I think I've heard of that before, is that something to do with drive by wire conversion? You have to already be running a DBW throttle body. It allows a 4 bolt throttle body to work in place of the 3 bolt throttle body. The bolt pattern and electronics are different. ...

Hey Johnnie, I put together a nice 355 with AFR Vortec heads and the Edelbrock ProFlo intake. I haven't installed the engine combo yet. I keep waiting for the 305 to grenade but it just won't. PM me your e-mail address and I will snap a few pics of it to send. I also have the DrX Throttle body conve...

I have never heard of anybody running an additional wire. If all of the factory wiring is correct then it sounds like a tune issue.

I have never taken the injection off of a vehicle and added a carb while retaining the Gauges, Electronic Trans, ABS before. I sure it could be done---but, I haven't done it. You would need to rig up a TPS sensor on your carburetor to input into the PCM so that the trans would shift properly. The PC...

The Van harness is not going to be a plug and play. It would be MUCH easier to repin the PCM connectors of your 98 for the 0411 PCM. The 4L80 will need the crossmember moved back a bit. I "think" 3 of the 4 holes line up. You will need the matching slip yoke. There is a slight repin of the PCM conne...

Hey Robby. Try this:

1. In "Switches" Uncheck: A/C Auto Recirculation Option.
2. In "Constants" Set fan type to "0" and A/C Type to "2".
3. The Low Pressure switch needs to be unplugged. (The two wire switch near the firewall on the passenger side)

VortecBlazer wrote:Will the 5.0 tune run the 5.7 in my Blazer, or does it need to be flashed for the 5.7? Are the 5.0 and 5.7 tunes the same?
The 5.0 and 5.7 calibrations are not the same. They will run on either engine but should be tuned for the application.

2. I don't like that you can't have an older VIN in the newer PCM. That is not very user friendly for swaps where you have to have emission test and they want the VIN in the PCM. 3. I also don't like the goofy credit scheme. With EFILive after I purchase a license, I can do anything I want to the PC...
