the reason for 4l80e switching quickly up to 4 gears ,was that the connection C2 16 and 19 on the PCM were grounded.
so that PCM received signal that 4wd low range was enabled and front axle was engaged.

4l80e change very quick to 4 gear ,first trip after start up

Need som help/advice 4l80e change very quick to 4 gear ,at the first trip after start up ,but after 1.5 miles it's working normal. If I stopp and turn off the engine wait 5 min and start up again , 4l80e act the same , but only after 0.5miles its ok. I have test with diffrent oil temperatur its the ...

very interesting coincidence, I'm just about to start a 400 Pontiac engine with 4l80e, to be controlled with 0411 ECM.
The engine goes into a Firebird Formula 1972

Read in an article, should not have more than 3.875 "in stroke because then you must use small base circle cam.
Have the Dart SHP Block in mind when I consider parts for L31 throug use of parts.

have too much parts for L31 engine, to consider the LS engine.
