after soaking them in solvent, try tapping them with the wood end of a mallet with the engine running and they may unstick.

I don't know about the thread you're referring to but as far as I know you just need the +05 e-fan setup, the 34" wide core radiator setup and the harness either GM or aftermarket or self built...uses 3 relays for series/parallel 2 speed fan operation. Two new pins go to the pcm and some programming...

If I remember this correctly, for the tach wiring, you just need to wire C2/10 (red connector) to the wire going to the tach, and then change {G1204} and {G1205} in EfiLive to 3 and {B5402} to "yes". Make sure to double check if that is the correct wire. :)

Hey Harald, it's been a while since I looked at the function of those pressure switches for the a/c system but I could send you the a/c operation description for the GM manual if you like. PM me your email and I'll send it over. One other thing is regarding the new compressor, the later model fullsi...

Hmmm....I'll have to do some datalogging to check this out. I could have sworn when my truck had the 4l60 in it that it stayed locked in 4th gear for example going down a steep hill with no throttle input...until I hit the brakes, but it's been quite a while since I paid attention to that. Thanks fo...

You're right Howard, I could accomplish the dfco thing either way, I was just kind of curious why this was when I saw it. James, I think that's a reasonable answer, but still don't get why this would be done for the 4l80 and not the 4l60. Here's the tables I'm looking at: 4l60e 4th gear tcc apply vs...

That's what I'm going for...the way it is now when I let off the gas, the torque converter unlocks dropping the rpm and reducing engine breaking and fuel cutoff.

4L80E - reason for unlocking converter during deceleration?

Like the title says...I'm playing with my TCC tables in EfiLive and noticed that the converter is commanded to unlock any time that throttle position goes to zero. Is there any particular reason for this? I'd like to keep it locked during decel to keep my engine rpms up when in decel fuel cutout mode.

This calculator works pretty well at least to get you in the ballpark: http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp Just measure the backspacing on the wheels you have now and figure out how much space you have between your tire and fender lip and you should be able to figure out your new tire/wheel combo

The crankcase can definitely become pressurized while making boost with it setup the way it is now. At the minimum, I would put a check valve in the pcv line so it only pulls on the crankcase under vacuum...it would be a good idea to put an oil separator in this line as well so you're not pulling oi...
