I've been running that converter for over 10 years and I beat on it almost daily and never had any problems, I love the feel of it over the stock converter That's what I like to hear! Do i need to order the same year model as my truck ? Can I just put in the oreillys website 1997 Chevy S10 4.3 and ...

There's no problem with the v6 4L80e version. IMO Probably your 4L60e will go before the tc. Same size tc on a 4l60e should handle the same power. The differance should only be in the angle of the vanes to change stall rpm Blown Rat rules Would you recommend the 4.3 V6 / 4L80e torque converter for ...

L35 S-10 Converter

Anyone know how much power the L35 S-10 converter will take? I really don't wanna spend big money on a converter right now but also don't wanna blow it up. I'll keep the stock in there if thats the cause. I figure something better than stock right now cause when this motor goes I'll be puttin in a 6...

Right Whipple Pulley ??

I have a 97 C1500 with the 5.7 vortec and one of those side mounted Whipples. I have a 3" pulley on there right now and I believe people use the 2.75 to get a little more boost ? Where can you find one of these pulleys? And is it correct you'd have to run some type of water/meth injection if you run...

20mm/25.4= 13/16" wider

295/25.4=11.6"

11.6x .5=5.8"

5.8"x2=11.6"

11.6"+15= 26.6"

That's the long calculation but you can look up tires specs on tirerack.com

You really don't need to change your diff ratio with those tires.

You think leave it at 275/60 or 295/50 ??

3.73 will give you a 10% advantage but if you're already spinning your tires it's pointless. Exept for highway passing. 10% more torque it nothing to sneeze at but it will cost more in fuel. It all depends how you like how it drives right now. Yea it's a 15" with a 28" tire... I already blow them o...

What intake manifold are you running? It would also be nice to know at what rpm you are making that power/torque at for torque converter recommendations. Any sort of TC will make traction tough as well. I would think that with 28" tires and 4.10's you just have a tire fryer. I ran 4.10s with a stoc...

The 4.1 will give 20% more torque at the wheels, therefore more acceleration. It should also be weaker by that amount since the pignion teeth have more leverage on the crown. It would be wise to go with a 9" rear. Well it's jus my ole daily driver.. I don't see the track a lot. if i start playing h...

The budget upgrade for the 4L80e is to go with the V6's heavy duty converter. I donno if the V6 converter for the 4L60e would give smilar gains if compatible at all. The 3:42 Gears are great for fuel economy, bad for performance but if you have the 10 bolts diff, it's probably safer to keep. Yea it...

Ok so, it's actually the locks that sticks the lowest from under the retainers. From the tip of the valve to the bottom of the locks it's 0.524 on the exhaust and 0.499 on the intake. So you'll need 1.084 tip to seal on the exhaust and 1.059 on the intake (.524 + .510 + .050) = 1.084 Do not reuse t...
