I would just connect that jumper wire you have for now and see if it works. I mean make sure everything works before you start running new wires and spending a bunch of time for nothing OK, SUCCESS!!!! all these months its just been one wire that was incorrectly done. I fired it up and turned on th...

Your tps is right there can you tap into its 5 volt reference? I suppose so...but why wouldn't I just run the wire over from the correct C1-45 pin? I'd like to not introduce any other problem. Is the 7v ok; would it be just good to snip the one wire (that must be connected into the gas gauge) and c...

The Black/Wht wire of the original switch will go to Pin "A" of the sensor for a ground/low. The Dk.Blue wire of the original switch will go to Pin "C" of the sensor for the signal wire. At the PCM move the Dk.Blue wire from C2-11 to C2-14. Run a wire from PCM connector C1-45 to Pin "B" of the sens...

How long after you turn on the A/C does it normally take for the system to build up pressure to turn the efans on when controlled by the 0411 PCM? I'm trying to figure out if mine finally work, but I can't see a/c pressure w/my scan tool and I'm afraid of damaging the compressor.

How do we know that VATS(vehicle Anti Theft System) isnt the culprit? Or does your replacement PCM retain VATS? peace Hog[/quote] Hog, according to my tuner, if VATS was the issue we would've had RPM, but no fuel/spark. In this case, I had two PCMs both had VATS deleted and it didn't work, but no RP...

Stoker97k1500, you da man! I swapped in my other PCM w/only base express and vats deleted and it fired instantly, super smooth. Now, how to figure out what is it in the fan/ac package which is messing things up. Can you remember specifically what you did to add it back in? Lextech, any ideas? Thx!!

I will try and get the one PCM I have from my local tuner to just have the base express tune w/vats deleted. I have another guy I know from church that works for GM and has access to a tech 2. Anybody w/ideas on how that might help troubleshoot?

Here are some iPhone video of my troubleshooting efforts today. Hopefully this may give some of you some ideas of what my problem is. Here is a youtube of my crankshaft sensor working http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3MyvCkKW84 And here is what the scan tool is reading http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...

I only have two specific inputs from/to the PCM for the CKP. They are the yellow wire (sensor signal) to the PCM and the purple wire (low reference ground) from the PCM to the sensor: YEL 573 CKP Sensor Signal 98-2000 C1 31 C1 12 411 people 574 CKP Sensor Low Reference 98-2000 C1 28 C1 21 411 The ot...

Pulled the new 3 wire AC connector, the MAP sensor connector and the TPS sensor connector and still no start. So I plugged them all back in. I'm a bit confused at your 5V reference voltage on the crankshaft sensor. Since I already did the CPS test above (from the link above) and I did have 5v output...

I don't follow the splicing into the cluster, that may be a mistake! why not just splice into the wires at the neutral safety switch on the transmission? That's the easiest place to get those wires in my opinion. Also unplug your new three wire sensor as well as the Map and tps (just to temporarily...

Troubleshooting 0411 swap; no start and DTC 0335

I wanted to ask a few more questions to help me trouble shoot my 0411 PCM swap w/o adding to the already long "It's alive" thread. Background: I have a 99 tahoe 4WD that I had several mods on and wanted to add efans (Mark VIII) so I decided to do the 0411 swap. I disconnected the battery and was ver...

No, sorry for the confusion. My truck was fine running with the black box until this weekend (such that the crankshaft sensor was obviously getting the proper signals and the wires were not broken/corroded)--I've just changed to the 0411 and did the efans at the same time. A principle reason for me ...

I used my power probe to check voltage on both wires w/key on. The yellow wire (CKP sensor going to C1-12) reads 5v, however the purple wire, CKP sensor ground reference (going to C1-21) does not. The purple wire was the one that previously did not have the pin fully engaged, but it is now. To be cl...

The fuel pump is working, and I did disconnect the ground to the battery before repinning. I checked all the fuses and none are blown. What would be other sources of no RPM besides the crankshaft sensor?

Well I finished my install yesterday; efans & and 0411 swap. Unfortunately I was unable to get it to start. The engine turns over, but just cranks and cranks w/no effort to start. I emailed my tuner, and he asked about RPM, and my scan tool shows none while cranking. He said that the crankshaft sens...

All, getting ready to do my Mark VIII efan upgrade w/0411. Last thing is figuring out this AC deal. I'm close reading this, but need clarification. I understand I need to replace the AC 2 wire sensor with a three wire; I have the correct F-body sensor and the pigtail. I am assuming that I simply spl...
