The big thing is that your Mom enjoyed the trip, I have a similar situation with my Dad who drives the 40 Lasalle Coupe on a daily basis. Every time I see him driving along with the big smile, it just makes my day. Sure its some wear and tear on the car, but that is what they were meant for. Glad yo...

No it is not anywhere close to being maxed out on the E-tec 200's, mine are not stock, a local well know speed shop offered to do some port work on them for their own research, as the Vortec heads were just hitting the hot rod scene, they picked up about 8% on the intakes and almost 11% flow on the ...

You are correct, the "Stock" heads are small, so they are great for torque, but max out quickly for flow. You are now running a 383 cu in motor on the stock valve heads, I would consider them to be a restriction. You also mention you have a small "turbo friendly" cam, we really need to know the lift...

Clean it as much as you can, soak them in the tub, just warm water, afterwards clean them with peroxide, it will not sting and it will kill any bacteria, leave it open to dry, as much as you can. Bubbles with the peroxide is a sign of possible infection, if you see them keep treating it. Go to a hea...

Great article, In welding there are many things that the associated fumes can cause severe illness, we all do it, and the more that we are aware of, the safer we will be. I have been welding for 20+ years and I did not know of this issue with brake cleaner. I am happy to say I have never used it for...

Yeah, not enough room in the tree for me & the bear, He climbed that tree so fast, the only way out would have been to jump. I can tell you I would have crapped myself, we ran into some bears on the trails while biking in WV and we were not nearly as close as these guys were, and I felt my heart jum...

1/8" dia change on the pulley is approx equal to 1 psi in boost, up or down depending on which way you go on the pulley. So going the 3" pulley you may see a 2 psi drop in boost over the 2.75" As for plugs your gapped at .035 - .040 on a stock ignition system, you may be a little wide, you need to b...

IAT will somewhat control timing, but you only have a window / range for it to work in, then the KR is going to take over, KR pulls a bunch of timing really quick, you can easily see it on a data log, Like Whipped 383 said as well, you really need to data log it in real time to see where your at, yo...

If your OBDII scans real time then hook it up and go for a drive, Look for the knock retard. That is fine if the IAT is relocated as per Whipple. One other thing you did not mention is how old are the plugs & wires, SC engines are harder on consumable parts (plugs, wires) than NA engines, so you nee...
